Github gives some general information <https://github.com/languages/> on the projects they host that I find pretty interesting.
The top ten languages: JavaScript <https://github.com/languages/JavaScript> 20%<https://github.com/languages/JavaScript> Ruby <https://github.com/languages/Ruby> 15%<https://github.com/languages/Ruby> Python <https://github.com/languages/Python> 9%<https://github.com/languages/Python> Shell <https://github.com/languages/Shell> 8%<https://github.com/languages/Shell> Java <https://github.com/languages/Java> 7%<https://github.com/languages/Java> PHP <https://github.com/languages/PHP> 7% <https://github.com/languages/PHP> C <https://github.com/languages/C> 7% <https://github.com/languages/C> Perl<https://github.com/languages/Perl> 5% <https://github.com/languages/Perl> C++<https://github.com/languages/C%2B%2B> 4% <https://github.com/languages/C%2B%2B> Objective-C<https://github.com/languages/Objective-C> (I suspect Shell is being misrepresented). The most forked Java projects <https://github.com/languages/Java> are: game-of-life, two Minecraft frameworks, an Android project and Hudson. Obviously, these stats are biased since they represent developer interest more than user interest, but it's still interesting to browse them to get a pulse on the developer community. -- Cédric -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "The Java Posse" group.
