In general I'm finding more and more of these permission requests from
apps as suspicious. Bottom line is if I'm that worried I just
shouldn't install the app, but I think it's the actual presentation of
the permission requests isn't doing the developer any favours. It
would be nice if with each permission requested, the app developer
could add a short blurb explaining why it's necessary, e.g. "This is
for Feature X which uses inbound call numbers to Y." The app developer
could always tell lies if they're malicious, but it would make me feel
better when I'm a bit suspicious when granting permissions.
