How do we define popularity/trend? (jobs, qualifications, usage, tags, searches, literature, courses etc.)
How large is this sliding window? (too fine grained a resolution drowns in spikes/noise) How do we categorize/group related stuff? (Does .NET or ASP get included both in C#, F#, Visual Basic?) I always like to have a look at StackOverflow trends as it's tech agnostic and a high-traffic site. http://meta.stackoverflow.com/questions/23554/tag-trends-by-week There is no shortage on Java jobs, but again, this depends on how you define popular/trend: http://jobstractor.com/monthly-stats /Casper On Monday, October 8, 2012 8:56:46 PM UTC+2, fabrizio.giudici wrote: > > You know, I'm a bit frustrated by recurrent discussion about language > trends because we lack a solid statistics base.
