While we're talking about the wonderful stuff that we'll find, or not, in
JDK 8... what about Android? Is Google planning to upgrade the Java
library in Android? The latest time I've checked - months ago - there were
even problems in using JDK 7 (I mean the JDK, not -source -target) for
development.
