Most of the time when I'm searching for something java related, the
subtopic is pretty good disambiguation. I mean, 'java concurrency' isn't
likely to come up with anything about the island.  As long as nobody comes
up with a library called "Gamelan", I think this should work pretty well.

Actually, I think it's probably more of a problem the other way around.
When I search for "java currency", all of the results on the first three
pages are about the programming language. If I want to find out what I use
to buy a cup of coffee on the island of Java, I have to search "java island
currency'. It's the rupiah, in case you're wondering.
