I have worked my way through the code of Exercise 2 of the JavaBeans Labs. I am not clear what the purpose of this lab is, or what is being demonstrated. What was the intent of exercise 2 of the JavaBeans lab?
http://www.javapassion.com/handsonlabs/javabeans/index.html#Exercise_2 If you look at the code and the descriptions it says okay, write this class, okay write that class, and so on. There is never a display of data, the run of the application, or a demonstration of using the components created in the gui builder. Interesting stuff, just not sure what to do with it. Furthermore, the link on the main page is to an invalid/incomplete zip file, the link referenced by the lab is consistent with the lab at least. Please see: http://www.javapassion.com/handsonlabs/1029_javabeans.zip versus: http://www.javapassion.com/handsonlabs/1021_javabeans.zip both are supposedly for the JavaBeans Lab Exercises. 1029 includes a samples directory which omits several of the samples. It kind of feels like whoever changed the labs for migration from Netbeans 5.5 to 6.X never really finished things. Am I missing something obvious?
