try to think of 'this' as simply meaning 'for this object' the
parameter 'size' is just passed in to the constructor, it exists on
its own... & it will be destroyed when the constructor is done.
if you were to use verticalsize instead of just 'size' there would be
no conflic in the constructor because verticlesize = size are 2
different object (you don't need to use 'this').

yes you can call super methods from a sub-class to call the parent
methods.
