Thanks for your great work with these lessons but I would like to
point out some inconsistencies with the JavaBeans lab:
1) There seems to be some confusion whether this is LAB-1021 or
LAB-1029.
2) There are two versions of the downloadable lab file available:
a) The old lab WITHOUT homework (1021):
http://www.javapassion.com/handsonlabs/1021_javabeans.zip
(linked from http://www.javapassion.com/handsonlabs/javabeans/index.html)
b) The new lab WITH homework (1029):
http://www.javapassion.com/handsonlabs/1029_javabeans.zip
(linked from http://www.javapassion.com/javaintro/index.html)
These lab pages still displayed as LAB-1021.
3) The online lab page contains a mix of screen shots from NetBeans
6.5 and 6.7.1.
The downloadable lab page (1029_javabeans.zip) contains screen
shots from NetBeans 5.5 and 6.7.1.
4) The email address for this homework is listed as
[email protected], whereas other labs use
[email protected].
Just FYI: There was another version of the downloadable
1029_javabeans.zip file available until about Aug 22. This lab had a
different homework attached (which is the one I sent in) and had the
following change log:
* March 5th, 2007: Created
* March 18th, 2007: Homework created
* Jan. 10th, 2009: NetBeans 6.5 is used
The current lab has this change log:
* March. 5th, 2007: Created
* Sep. 10th, 2009: Updated with NetBeans 6.7.1, Homework is added
I think this was caused by the LAB-1021/1029 confusion.
It would be good if the inconsistencies could be cleaned up for the
benefit of future students.
Thank you
Dag
