Please help me to install NetBeans in my computer.
I am using Mandriva OS in my system.
I am a user and dont have root password.
I have downloaded JDK in my system.
I downloaded netbeans from internet and when it was downloaded in my system the
file was netbeans-6.7.1-ml-java-linux.sh
I changed the file using chmod +x netbeans-6.7.1-ml-java-linux.sh and made it
executable.
I double clicked the file and got a netbeans installation window.
I got a window asking choose the installation folder and JDK for the NetBeans
IDE
In Install the Netbeans IDE to : I choose as
/home/satish/JDK/jdk1.5.0_19
In JDK for the Netbeans IDE : I choose as
/home/satish/JDK/jdk1.5.0_19
Then I went on clicking Next and in another window of GlassFish V2 Installation
I choose path as
/home/satish/JDK/jdk1.5.0_19
for both install Glassfish and jdk glass fish application server
finally i got window saying click finish to finish installing netbeans.
I have not got any short cut icon on desktop.
So I thought let me try to re-install and but when i tried i am getting window
as
ALL THE AVAILABLE COMPONENTS ARE ALREADY INSTALLED CLICK CANCEL TO EXIT THE
INSTALLER.
Please help me how to install and start a project using netbeans..
