No I don't know where it has gone, but my advice is to not concern yourself too much with the CLASSPATH environment variable. The NetBeans IDE takes care of this kind of thing for you, and I also recall reading somewhere that setting the CLASSPATH may interfere with the way tools such as NetBeans and Ant work anyway.
