Certainly any extension would be helpful for me (it's only 3 days in this case though). I'll probably subscribe to take on further courses anyway, but having a deadline I can realistically meet is good for me to get motivated to finish the course sooner rather than later.

Hi,

I need some more time to complete my course.

Could you move deadline from 25^th february to 12ve March 2010?

You really told us too late about conversion,

I am not sure I would agree with you on this since there is no on- going
class of this course since last Nov.

In any case, how about March 1st as the new deadline?

Sang Shin,

I really appreciate the work you have put into these courses and find the content to be very thorough and useful. But I do have a couple of
small concerns:

* I started the current Java Programming course late (like just a
month ago instead of back in November), and I think it's going
to be a little hard for me to finish up by the end of this
month. Could you possibly extend the deadline for people who
have actively been sending in homework but are just a little
behind? Being able to finish what I started would go a long way toward convincing me to continue (with a subscription) to other
      courses.

If you have started submitting homeworks before the conversion, you don't have to resubmit them because they will be saved up to 1 year period.

However, once the website is converted into "paid" subscription based service, it will be available only in "paid" subscription form. I am not equipped to deal with individual case unfortunately once the conversion
is done. Sorry.

    * A somewhat larger question: What does my $89 buy me besides
access to your courses? A certificate is nice, but is there some
professional recognition that goes with it, or is it just
something you can show your friends and then file away, never to
be looked at again? I mean, I know it doesn't make me a
Certified Java Professional, but I'd like to know that it's time and money well spent. I don't mean any disrespect at all, just
like to know the value of the purchase I'm considering.

It is a fair question indeed - just like anything else in the world,
you certainly
want to know what value you get if you are paying for something.

What you get from the yearly subscription is pretty much what you get right now for free. (Yes, I know I am not a good salesman saying this.
But I want to be upfront and honest in every possible way I can.)

Basically with a subscription, you have "unlimited access" to all
existing and new courses in javapassion.com. You can take these
courses as many times as you want.

A certificate you get once you finish a course has no affiliation with
any institution or company. Having said that, "javapassion.com" is
relatively well known in my opinion, there are many cases in which people
were able to made advancements in their career because they were
able to show "javapassion.com" certificates and prove what they've
learned. (I wish I had saved all those emails I received.)

Based on market research we've done, there are no other sites
out there that provide the types of service that "javapassion.com"
provide with the price tag we are suggesting. But I will let you
be the judge on this.

Thanks.

As most of you might be aware of, the "javapassion.com
<http://javapassion.com>"
will be converted into "paid" subscription based service
soon.

If you've been submitting homeworks and woud like
to get a "free" certificate before the conversation,
you wil have to submit all homeworks before Feb. 25th
(2 weeks from today).

Thanks.
