Oracle has archived all the tutorials, articles, etc, previous to the current version of NetBeans. So that to access any piece of tutorial and the like you have to download the whole archive.
This is the theory, but actually all clickable links in the archives page lead to proxy error. So that there is no real solution at the moment, unless joying effort to report that to NetBeans. On the other hand, you may work with the learning trail in more recent NetBeans documentation. For examples for 6.x version, go here: http://netbeans.org/kb/previous.html Choose you version of NetBeans and click on the first link: Main NetBeans IDE doc page. Then the fist tutorial (Basic IDE Use and Java Programming) corresponds more or less to the old documentation.
