Personal opinion: I hope no. Nothing against Jasmine but as GJS user, with all the things GJS might needs, one out of many possible test frameworks out there doesn't seem to be a priority.
Looking around, I also don't think anything different from `console.assert` would be needed in core. My 2 cents.
