hi

I stumble across prototype a few weeks ago while trying to find what
ajax could do to propose users a new kind of browsing experience and
i was immediately seduced.
Yet after a few days deep into the code of the samples and trying to
get how sebastien's pages were build, i'm stuck (what's the use of
all these numbers btw?).

My purpose is quite simple: i'm setting up a magazine with students
and want to use prototype's windows to display projets, contact form
from the links of a table of contents.
My main trouble is that i don't understand how to get it thru even if
it seems simple at first sight.

——————

1 onload window (dialog box for presentation)

12 links displaying onclick 12 windows for 12 differents projects
(internal et external html)
1 link for a disclaimer
1 link for a contact form

All get same appearance, draggable, size and position vary.

————————

No idea how to build the skeleton so that i can click link aftyer
link and have the window appear.
Sure such question may have been addressed before but i'm really new
to this language so i need help.

thanks in advance

jp
