Hey all, as you know the project was approved by the JCP recently. So, a "1.0.0" release is upcoming, and in preparation of that there is now a new release of the API, RI, and Linux Imp. These are "pre-releases" for the 1.0.0 release of all 3 packages. If there are no problems with the releases, the 1.0.0 release will be identical except for version number. I'd like to leave these releases out for a week or so, so if anyone sees anything wrong with them please let me know!
The most notable change with these releases is the addition of binary packaging. There is now a RPM for each package, as well as binary JAR and .so files. Also, the JAR/.so files both on the download page and in the RPMs are versioned (with unversioned links to the versioned JAR/.so).
