Yesterday I asked where log4.properties should go. I have solved that
one - it should be in the same folder as the main class.
Still did not make the system work. I have taken a copy of TraverseUSB
from my Linux m/c where it works to my Windows m/c where I have
installed the Libusb-Win32 and all the other .jar files as instructed. I
now get the message
[DEBUG] JavaUsb – entering initialise
System Error – Illegal Operation
Putting in printout messages shows that the program does not get beyond
the first instruction
UsbServices services = UsbHostManager.getUsbServices();
The system fails with the same message on the same line in ShowTopography.
What could cause this? Is it my installation is faulty somewhere or is
it a fault with the program?
