Assuming you are wanting to build the API, common RI, and Linux implementation, extract all 3 from CVS, put each one's "src/" directory in your CLASSPATH (or, put the resultant "lib/jsr80*.jar" files in your CLASSPATH), make sure you have both the java SDK and ant installed, then go in javax-usb and run "ant all", then do the same for javax-usb-ri and javax-usb-ri-linux. Then add the javax-usb-ri-linux/lib directory to your LD_LIBRARY_PATH and your CLASSPATH and you are all set to run javax.usb.
