I don't know if anybody else has ever had this happen, but several times in the recent past I've had multiple sessions of JAWS running simultaneously. It sounds really cool, one session always "beats" the other to the sound card so there's this echo effect -- well, at first it's really cool, then it gets -- shall we say -- to be a BIG PAIN IN THE ASS!!!
So what I've found is that using the <JAWS Key>+<F4> will only completely shut down one version while the other remains partially deployed. I say "partially deployed" because many of the beloved key strokes we use for navigation are not available. But by using the <JAWS Key>+J brings up the menu whereupon I use the "E" to ask it to exit JAWS. Whew, RELIEF -- that echoing really gets to be a bitch after a while!!! ---------------- Bill Gallik E-Mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] - "Maturity is a bitter disappointment for which no remedy exists, unless laughter can be said to remedy anything." - Kurt Vonnegut --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ Visit the JAWS Users List home page at: http://www.jaws-users.com Address for the list archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/jaws-users-list%40googlegroups.com/ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "JAWS Users List" group.
