Honestly I don't see this as a JAWS issue. The reason I say that is after reading your message but before writing this reply I went to my start menu and pressed W for windows update and then enter. It took me right up there without any trouble at all and I'm running 8.0 with IE 7. Maybe he might be able to give us a bit more information. I have Jaws 8 here and not chose to up-date with it as of yet. Yet, a friend of mine, Blake, E-mailed myself and asked how can he get to the up dates. So, I gave him the steps that I use from windows, to Microsoft up dates, and then tab down or arrow down to options and priority up dates and the list is there. He said that he could not do that with Jaws 8. So, finally had to switch back to 7 to accomplish and retrieve the latest up-dates. The question: Have you tech guys and gals, found what works in getting Jaws 8 to work in getting into the Microsoft windows area and to the areas of the up-dates.
