What's New in JAWS 7.10
Reply Directly to Senders on Mailing Lists

Outlook and Outlook Express users who subscribe to mailing lists now have
the ability to reply directly to the message sender's address, rather than
the
mailing list address, by pressing SHIFT+INSERT+R. In previous versions, when
you wanted to reply to the sender of a message on a mailing list, you had
to choose Reply, copy the sender's address into the To edit box, and delete
the mailing list's address.

Donnie and everyone else here on the list, when you reply to this you reply
to the users list not to the person posting for they are posting to the list
as it shows up like this is the header of the email
[mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Donnie Parrett]
therefore you reply to the list not the individual person from within
Outlook with the keystroke Alt+R

If I want to pick out the individuals email address in the header I get into
the body of the message and Shift Tab (going backwards) through the email
until I hear the "from" in the header and towards the end you can pick up
the person's email address. From there you can do a Shift+ left or right
arrow to highlight the individuals name then Ctrl +C to copy it from there
you can paste it anywhere, much like spit wads in high school.

I am stopping there for I don't really want people plucking my email address
out so they can add it to their Daily devotional spam lists

Hey Bob,

If this works right, then you will be the only one that will get this
message. If everyone on the
list gets it, then I have not succeeded.

Alt + R not Ctrl + R = reply jaws focus must be on outlook
Alt + S not Ctrl + S = send once you are compiling your email

If that doesn't work with yours I don't know. It works with mine in 7.0 and
7.1 I haven't really messed around with my JAWS settings they are pretty
much set at the defaults except for some voice and reading speed changes.

Bob

Hey Bob,

It doesn't work for me. I have tried every way imaginable and I still can't
get that reply directly
to sender thing to work. There must be some settings on my computer that
are not set up correctly.

Why the heck is this stuff about insert-shift R working for everyone else,
but not for me.

I am using Jaws 7 with XP home, OE 6 and IE 6, haven't installed 7 yet.

So why is this working for everyone else but not for me.

I've tried doing it from the message list view, from the preview pane and
inside an open message.

Anyone have any ideas?

Victor
