Changing speech to Intermediate did nothing. I still hear those lines that GoogleGroups inserts. Since I always run with it set to Advanced, anyway, I figured that changing to Intermediate would make no difference and it didn't. What synthesizer do you use? I'm using Eloquence. Also, how do you have your punctuation set? When I changed from Most, which is the default, to None or Some, I do not hear those characters.

My Jaws didn't even speak those characters, and until I advanced through
Robert's message one character at a time, I didn't know what the heck he was
talking about either.

Oh well, I guess different people like to start new years off in different
ways.  Robert's way seems to be adversarial...Smile.
