I know this is old but I had a window update around Thanksgiving that quiet
awhile to install any idea what it was?
I have xp.
And just now ent to DSL.

That's correct, but from the description, it sounds like that's what's
already selected. The question was how to know; when there are a bunch of
updates indicated as being ready to install; what they are. The way to do
this is to open the dialog in the System Tray and instead of choosing
Install, choose Advanced. After doing this, detailed descriptions of each
update are displayed and you can choose to install or not install.

That's in the control pannel and I believe it is called download them but
let me choose when to install them.
