If for some reason like creating new desktop icons, your icons on your
desktop are stacking up in one place, do a windows key+M to get JAWS focus
to your desktop and do the applications key, arrow to the refresh key if
that doesn't do what you want then arrow to "arrange by" and do a right
arrow then you have several choices that will effect all of you desktop
icons.

If it is one particular icon you want to relocate from one spot to another
then you need to ask how to drag and drop using JAWS, but then you would
have to have someone sighted to tell you where to place it. In that case get
your family members to assist you!

I like to keep my icons lined up horizontally in lines by catagories. It's
just a clean, neat
looking desktop thing that I've got going on.

Donnie,
If you are using Jaws, what is the importance of moving an icon to a
particular spot on the desktop?

How can I move an Icon from one place to another without having to use the
mouse. The only way that
I know to do it is with the drag and drop method with the mouse. With the
limited vision that I
have, it really strains my eyes to see the mouse, so I'm wanting to learn
how to do it the other
way. Thanks for all your help.
