I'm positing that there might be a bug (perhaps as yet undiscovered) in Eloquence that stops it reading something on that page. If possible, try using another synthesizer, even a software one, to read it. Best of all, though, if you have one, try a hardware or external synthesizer reading it.

Well, what synthesizer are you using? That makes a difference to whether JAWS can speak, in some awkward situations. ----- Original Message ----- From: Doug Leavens To: [email protected] Sent: Friday, January 19, 2007 6:19 PM Subject: [JAWS-Users] Re: A really nasty website??? Something possibly crashing Eloquence, then? My normal default synth is the Apollo 2 external synthesizer. It reads ok there with JAWS8. ----- Original Message ----- From: Walt Smith To: [email protected] Sent: Thursday, January 18, 2007 4:20 PM Subject: [JAWS-Users] Re: A really nasty website??? I got exactly the same behavior here, Doug. This is with JAWS 8.0 and IE 7. ----- Original Message ----- >From: "Doug Leavens" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Wednesday, January 17, 2007 10:19 PM Subject: [JAWS-Users] Re: A really nasty website??? I tried what you suggested. Now, jaws reads the page, and shuts up completely. Can't get the links list to talk or any of the navigation keys!
