Hi David, I am as shocked as you were to read this, and would have contacted you off-list, but felt a response here would be appropriate. First, I do not possess either the desire, or knowledge to engage in such activities, and apologize if this has caused a problem for anyone. Second, you were right, I was operating on limited sleep, and obviously, it had bad results. I normally proof-read all my messages before sending them, for mis-spellings, and content, but due to the lack of sleep, failed to do so this morning. I also failed to observe a cardinal rule for blind-computer users, in that I did not know where I was at all times. After looking at my message several times when I got up this afternoon, in sheer amazement, I found out how this happened. This morning I was working on a response to an e-mail from a friend in Notepad, when I replied to your message. I was switching back and forth between files, and Outlook Express, and inadvertently typed part of my response to the other person, into my response to you. By the same token, the end of my message to you, wound up in my response to him. My response to you should have read like this: file Zillah: I wasn't impressed. FTP edit: I wasn't impressed with this one either. send to FTP.:I'm not familiar with this one. FTP explorer: Seems to do the job, not alot of bells and whistles, > probably adequate for the task at hand, unless you are having issues with > it. FTP Voyager: sounds like you may have your eye on this one. If this is the one you are seriously considering, and it does what you need, I would buy it.
When I referred to, "hack", I was speaking in terms of the registry. I was letting my friend know that in order to correct his problem, it might take a registry hack, and that we should look for one. In this context, "registry hack", is a computer slang term for, a registry edit, or modification, of the registry as it is provided by the O/S (operating system). I certainly hope this clears things up, and if you have any questions, please let me know. ----- Original Message ----- From: "David Ferrin" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Thursday, February 08, 2007 8:23 AM Subject: [JAWS-Users] Re: FTP clients It sounds like somebody isn't quite awake on here this morning. I shouldn't need to remind you that such activities on this list are not discussed. If you still wish to be a moderator then we need to talk for sure. FTP Voyager: sounds like you may have your eye on this one, try looking for a hack If this is the one you are seriously considering, let me know, and I'll look for a hack also. As for me, Out of all the ones I've looked at, I still like WebDrive the best. Haven't quite got next to the price just yet!
