There are many possible reasons. Is this a new problem? Did you change anything recently, I. e. install or remove programs? did you add any new hardware, like a second HD? You might try having fewer programs load at startup. You can run MSCONFIG and uncheck unnecessary entried in the startup tab. If you have several programs in the sys tray, try disabling some. I once had this problem on an old computer, and doing a disk defrag helped. If none of these things help, it may be a hardware issue, like a dying power supply or HD. I doubt that JAWS has anything to do with it. Andy
