I've been experiencing this problem also; to resolve this problem I
typically go into the VIEW menu and select either of the two items "Normal"
or "Print" (whichever of the two is not currently checked.  This seems to
clear up all problems between JAWS and Word -- I'm using Office 2000 but I
suspect the version of Word is irrelevant -- at least between 2000 and 2003.
Oh yeah, I am also using JAWS 7.0.

And try to go into the "Zoom" dialog -- Oy Oy Oy!
