Another alternative is to uninstall it altogether via add/remove in Control 
panel.  I had it on briefly, but found it got in the way of my Internet 
radio listening pleasure, so removed it.

Hi Reese,

You can manage the Google toolbar by going to your tools menu, then arrow
down to manage add-ons.

The Google bar should be in there somewhere.

I can't help you any further than this as I don't have that bar installed,
but I'm sure there's no shortage of people here that have had to deal with
this same problem.
