The setup is the same, but beginning in version 7.1, when you update Jaws from the Jaws interface, if there are any updated daisy material it will be listed in the list of updates. >From the start menu, and programs, select Jaws 8.0 sub-menu, and then the FS Reader demo. When the application opens, you can down arrow thru the tree and just press enter on an item and it will be read aloud if there is audio support for that topic. Alternatively, you can press the tab key once and then use standard reading commands for Jaws to read the text. I haven't tried this yet, but I suspect that you could use the RealSpeak voices, or any other Sapi 5 voices for that matter with the say all command. Good evening, I remember a long time ago (maybe JAWS 6 or something) I accessed some of the JAWS training materials with the FS Daisy reader. I tried this with JAWS 8 and it only reads things with the standard JAWS voice. I never did anything special in version 6. Is there something special that needs to be done in version 8 to use the FS demo daisy reader? thanks Al --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ Visit the JAWS Users List home page at: http://www.jaws-users.com Address for the list archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/jaws-users-list%40googlegroups.com/ In order to contact the management team simply fill out the following form found at: http://www.jaws-users.com/contact.php You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "JAWS Users List" group.
