Hi everyone! It is so nice to report that Kurzweil and Jaws are working together again. FYI- it is not necessary to put JAWS to sleep, even with my version 7.2 of Kurzweil. If any of you ever require tech support, do not hesitate contacting Kurzweil. Paul did a fantastic job of resolving my scanner issue and helping me change the default settings to maximize my enjoyment of this program. I actually did a repair of JAWS 5.1, and updated version 8. Both are working much better now. Thanks again to Flor for replying to my message. It is comforting to know that people on this list are willing and able to help those of us who have so much to learn. Happy computing! For now...Shirley
