Hi Lisa, As far as I know, Jaws doesn't have any problems coming back from a stand by mode.
Having said that, though, I know there have been issues of Jaws not coming back from hibernation mode. You can shut these modes off by going into your control panel, then pressing P for Power Options. Once in the power options dialog box, arrow up or down to highlight always on. Once you've done that, you can find tune the always on power settings, by tabbing down and setting the time for each part of the always on mode. For example, you can tell your computer to shut off the monitor after a certain amount of time, and you can also tell the computer to shut off hard disks after a certain amount of time with no activity. The one you should be concerned with is the stand by time settings. Once you get to the combo box, just arrow down to the option that says, "Never", and this will disable it. If you continue to tab down, and find that your computer comes to another combo box that says "System Hibernate After", then you should disable hibernation mode by pressing the control+tab key combination, and going to the hibernate tab of this dialog box. When you get there, uncheck the box that says, "Enable hibernation" and this will turn off that feature. At this point, just tab to apply, then to ok, and your computer will not go into stand by or hibernation mode again, unless, that is, you tell it to. Hope this helps.
