Do you know if the open window when this happens is maximized? Yes it is... Is Notepad and Outlook Express the only place that this happens? So far, yes... Is the affected application the only one open at the time? Yes it is, except, there was one time where there might have been a "My Documents" window open... Does this help you? Personally, I'm stymied. I've never seen this happen with any other computer, and I've set the computer's settings to match the other computers I own, or have owned in the past. I would have thought that maybe there might have been a setting out of sync with my other computers, but my friend's computer is set the same way as mine.
