It also depends upon the operating system. I'm running a p4 3.0 MHz with 512 megs of ram and vista home basic and it's not enough so it depends upon what operating system your running and what software your trying to run with jaws and that operating system. Note that when a system says minimum required that means that that is the least that the system will run on and they aren't taking into consideration what else you might be running on the system. For example, my machine runs fine with 512 until you load jaws and then it slows way down. Now add jaws and word 2003 and it get even worse. If your running anything below vista I would recommend at least 512 and if your going to run programs that demand a lot of processor use, then you might want to up grade your ram some. The amount of memory you need depends upon what you are doing, there is no magic number.
