Phyllis, I was successfull, the one time I got into serious difficulties with outlook Express that way, in also restoring my personal folders as well. I had to do it biece by piece, though. I first emptied my Inbox in Outlook Express itself. then shut the program. I then went to the store location and renamed each of the 'lost' folders in turn, Inbox, then went each time into Outlook express and created a new folder under the old name and copied over the messages from the Inbox to it. (The problem happened twice within a week or so, so the Inbox was not too full. Some messages were lost permanently, but I retrieved much more that was of value.) (Also at that time, the DBExtract program did not work for me, nor did ScanDisk or other suggested import/export copy/paste remedies.) So, basically, yes, you can restore any folder, but if you have to do this manually and it wasn't one of the default folders then there's a couple steps more involved.

Probably won't restore the folders that you created yourself. [EMAIL PROTECTED] add me to your MSN: [EMAIL PROTECTED] --- avast! Antivirus: Outbound message clean.
