David,

I just tried downloading the scripts again and it worked fine
here, too.

I'll take a break before I try to install them.

    Thanks,

Margaret

Try again and get back to me either way please.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Problem Downloading Spyware Blaster Scripts
Re:Spyware
Blaster

Hi David,

I wanted to try to get the scripts for JAWS 5 and up to work the
other day and was unable to download them at all. I thought you might
be working on the page and tried again a few minutes ago, but got the
same "Getting file information" message I got the other with no chance
to say where I wanted the scripts downloaded to. I tried Insert F-7
and got the same result. I thought it might be a save target thing,
but I'm not doing it right if it is. I tried downloading another
script as a test to see if there might be a problem with that
particular script, but was unable to download that one, too.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Margaret

The short answer is yes. You must be catching up with your caffeine
consumption just fine because JAWS was speeding along reading your
message.
Just kidding actually, I always have it speaking that fast.

David,

Thanks for updating the web site about the SpywareBlaster scripts.
My Internet connection went down for 2 and a half days shortly after I
posted my question and I've been seriously behind with my caffeine
consumption since then and haven't tried re-installing the scripts. I
think I got SpywareBlaster configured properly without them, but for
when I'm more alert do they really make it more accessible like the
ones for Ad-Aware do?

I've replaced the old file with the new offering from the link
provided
below. I've also just added a third version of skype to the programs
page
along with a direct link to the page where the most recent scripts are
housed. Skype is such a moving target I sure can't keep up with it.
Also I
made the change on the scripts page to reflect which versions of jaws
go
with which version of spy ware blaster scripts. With luck there
shouldn't be
any further confusion.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Spyware Blaster

Hi All,

I'm having a harder time getting Spyware Blaster installed and
configured than I expected.

I downloaded the file on our page and got an error message that
the setup file had become corrupted when I tried to install the
program on my XP Home with SP2 machine and JAWS 7.0:

Error
The setup files are corrupted. Please obtain a new copy of the
program.graphic 580

I followed the links to download a copy from the manufacturer's
site and got a good copy at:

http://www.download.com/SpywareBlaster/3000-8022-10196637.html?part=dl-SpywareBl&subj=dl&tag=button

I think I have everything protected, but want to install the
scripts since the program seems to be a bit different than the 3.3
version I remembered and it has been a very long time since I used
that one. The scripts page lists a script for JAWS 5 and another one
for other versions of JAWS. Am I correct that "other versions" means
versions of JAWS below 5.0?

    Thanks,

Margaret
