Before the advent of the 104 keyboard, CONTROL-ESCAPE Performed the
function now performed by the Windows key.

What type of notebook computer do you have ?  I've never come across a
notebook or laptop that did not have a windows key.  

Most sighted people don't know what the windows key is.  Just tell them
to look for the key with the windows flag on it, or some people call it
the windows icon.
