Don't worry about me, my feelings aren't hurt. The main thing is that we get
you up and running how ever possible. Let the list know how you make out
finally.

David,
Hardware is the least thing I'm any good at, but I think it is a
bit suspicious that I had a devil of a time last year and got the same
no disk in drive message then until I tried a different pack of blank
CD's and finally got a couple to burn, but ones from what I think was
the same pack wouldn't burn this year the next time I tried it. I
even tried an old unopened pack that had been sitting on the shelf for
heaven knows how long on the theory that all I had to lose was time
and energy and they wouldn't work either.
If it's okay, I'll take a rain check on your offer to help more
with Singe until my tech or I can figure out what the problem is. I
think he might be interested in Singe if he doesn't already know about
it since I understood that it can be used remotely and he has some of
his clients set up to try the remote fix.

It sort of sounds to me like a hardware issue as well. If you wish me
to try
and help you further I'm sure something can be worked out. I listened
to the
tutorial again yesterday because like I said I haven't used the
program
since making that recording with everything that has been going on
around
here lately.

David,
I gave the audio tutorial a couple more listens and was still
confused partly due to a hearing problem and it seems that WMP 10 and
my Desktop do not want to be loaded at the same time and I have to
unload WMP and start all over with the tutorial. I seem to be fine
until after I've selected the data files I want to burn and have hit
the Control-C which I think you said adds them to my burn list. Then,
I thought you said something about tabbing to Singe and that's where
I'm lost.
My tech can fix some computer problems remotely and I had him take
a try at it this morning and he got the same no disk in drive error
I've been getting. I think he was trying it with the XP burning
utility. He thinks there might be a problem with the CD/DVD player
itself and it might need to be replaced, but we agreed I'd try to get
a new pack of blank CD's before he comes, so I'm putting any further
attempts at getting Singe to work on the back burner (so to speak)
until I can get the new blank ones or he comes Monday or Tuesday with
new ones.
