Hi:

I don't mean to be oversimplistic, but the best way to get a computer 
with XP might be to just find one on clearance at an electronics or mail 
order store.  It doesn't have to be a Del, it could be an HP, Toshiba, 
or Sony, which I have, just to nhame a few.  We really don't need super 
computers.  I'm perfectly happy with my Sony Vaio.  It's the only 
computer I have.  There is tech support for the well-known companies.  
My husband, the computer whiz, says that he's heard of Del being snotty 
like that before if you don't want to buy their computers with their 
exact specs.  Even if you have to pay somebody a few dollars to assist 
you, it's going to probably be cheaper in the long run.
