Hi,
Here is how to create a signature that will appear at the bottom of an
outgoing message in Thunderbird:
1. press Alt T to go to the tools menu.
2. Arrow up to account Settings and press enter.
3. Press enter, and you will land in a tree view with such options as
Server Settings and disk space. Use your arrow keys to move to the top
of the tree view and JAWS should say whatever your email address is. For
example, when I moved to the top of the tree view, it said
[EMAIL PROTECTED] since that is the email address that I have
currently configured in Thunderbird.
4. press tab until you get to the check box that says "Attach this
signature:" and press the space bar to check it.
5. Open up Notepad or any text editor of your choice and put whatever
you want in your signature in this file.
6. When you are done, save the file in a place where it can be found
easily.
7. now, close Notepad or whatever text editor you are using and make
sure the file is saved where you want it.
8. now, back in Thunderbird where you left off, press tab until you get
to the Choose button.
10. Press the space bar on this button and you will be in a dialog that
lets you navigate to files. Navigate to the location of your file, (it
is a standard open dialog) and press tab until you get to the open button.
11. Tab to the OK button and press enter or space bar to activate it.
12. you will return to where you started before you went into the
account settings dialog.
Important Note: Do not delete the file that you put your signature in! I
say this because Thunderbird looks for it and inserts your signature at
the bottom of every outgoing message if it is in the location you saved
it in. if it is not there, you will not have a signature.
I hope this helps.
Jeffrey
