If you can get sighted assistance, the quickest way to try to get Jaws up and running again would be to go into the Jaws menu under options under basics under "run Jaws". Also, starting with Jaws 7 or 8, Jaws can be started by going into "run Programs" and typing "Jaws" plus the version number. If you can't get sighted assistance, the only way I'm certain of is to use your Jaws program cd. After starting your computer, put the Jaws cd into the drive and speech should start: then use the "repair" option to reload Jaws. And when you do get Jaws running again, make sure the "start Jaws automatically" under Jaws options is checked. Good luck.
