Hi Cutolo, I gather from your message that the checkbox is already checked, so it would all depend on which computer you usually check your e-mail on.
That checkbox means that any messages that get downloaded to your computer, are left on the server, and they can be downloaded by any computer that can access your account. So, if you usually check your e-mail on your desktop computer, and that particular check box is checked, if you check your e-mail with your laptop after you've downloaded your mail to your desktop, you'll find that your laptop displays the messages as unread, even though you just read them on your desktop. The message will essentially stay up on the server until you go to the web mail version of your e-mail account, and delete them. If you are going to check your e-mail with your laptop, and you want to be able to save the messages you get for download to your desktop, then that check box should be checked. On the other hand, if you don't plan on keeping any of the messages you read, then by all means, uncheck the box. I hope this information helps you.
