What sort of account are you talking about? If you're trying to recover 
a Yahoo! ID (e.g. for use with Groups, Mail, and other Yahoo! services) 
then you need the following form (in the US):

http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/edit/registration/accountword.html

If you're talking about a subscription to a Yahoo! Group from a 
non-Yahoo! account where your messages to the group, then you're best 
off getting in touch with the list moderator and pointing them to:

http://urlx.org/help.yahoo.com/43d14

which tells them how to unbounce a member of the list manually.
