A bit of caution might be in order here ladies and gentlemen.
If you aren't very darned careful, you might end up setting folders within
folders instead of on the main tree directory.
Both RJ's and Mike's instructions are fine as far as they go. But there is
a simple way to make sure that your new folder becomes a main one, not part
of another folder and harder to find.

There are several ways to get to the option to create a new folder. I found
that the easiest way to do this is by following the steps below.

1. Press the Control Y key to show all of your folders.
2. Arrow up until you hear "Local Folders Open". Press your left arrow to
close that display. The prompt changes to "Local Folders Closed".
3. Now, press the Alt F and arrow down to "New". Press Enter on that
option and you will be given a choice, one of which is "Folders". That is
your choice.
4. Arrow down again until you hear "Create New Folder" and press Enter.
5. Follow the prompts and type in your folder's name.
6. To verify that the folder is displayed in the main tree, press Control Y
again. Your new folder should be one of those shown under Local Folders.
You'll find that reaching this folder is much faster when it's on the main
display.

CAUTION: If you do create folders within folders, they may not show if you
are using the Control Y key stroke. In order to find a sub-folder like
that, you'd have to open the primary folder first.

I hope this helps along with those suggestions made by RJ and Mike.
