Hi,
This has not changed in Vista. Windows M minimizes all applications and
moves you to the desktop just like it does in XP and previous versions of
Windows.

Actually, Windows M just minimizes all applications and focuses you to the 
desktop. It does not close any of them, unless this is changed in Vista, as 
I'm using XP Home and Windows M does just that.
