What she could do is to first remove Norton from her computer using Add or 
Remove Programmes, then use the Norton Removal tool to make sure that 
absolutely everything's gone from Norton. The utility is only difficult to 
use because you've got to type in one of these codes that are displayed in a 
graphic, similar to those you find when you sign up to various things 
nowadays. I know, visual verification in software, plolitical correctness 
gone mad, I say, lol! Seriously though, I hope that helps.
