Once it is all configured Yahoo mail would be a good alternative in my opinion at least. I have gone web mail for over a year now, but it is connected to my web domain, although I thought of Yahoo mail at first. Then we decided since we're paying for the domain name and web space to go that way instead of paying another $20 a year for Yahoo which is really inexpensive if you think about it.
