Hi Denny,
It would be good if you can get with support on Monday if this can be 
reproduced regularly. The key is to do the dump as soon as it is in the locked 
up state, prior to pushing lots of other keyboard commands. The support team 
can then help you retreive the file and send it to them with some details.
 
Also, write me off list with contact info so I can reach you. I might have you 
try something else this weekend before Monday gets here.

Eric,
Is there a particular address we can send the log to?  Or should we call
tech support and have them to direct us as to where to send it?
I am constantly needing to dump Jaws while using Outlook 2007, Vista and
Jaws 8.0.2173.
I am using a Dell laptop with a dual core processor and 1 gig of ram.
It seems to happen most frequently while trying to open a message and
Outlook is downloading a message at the same time.

If the application is something like Office or IE, where JAWS is injected
into the Object Model when the program stops responding, that could be
causing a problem for JAWS which gets it into a state of maxing out the CPU
usage. This is something that we have been working hard on and the latest
versions of JAWS (8.0.2173), should be much better in this area than some
earlier versions such as 7.1.

There is something you can do in the event this happens that will help you
recover more quickly in most cases. With JAWS 8, we added and option to
"Unload JAWS", even if JAWS seems not to be working at the moment.
The KEY STROKE is:
JAWS KEY + Windows KEY + F4

This will also create a dump log that our support team my request if this is
something that happens often, especially if you can get it to happen on
demand.

Hi fokes. I've noticed a problem with jaws which has been there for many
versions. When a program isn't responding, jaws seems to not respond either.
I litterly have to wait about 5 minutes for it to respond, and more then
once, I was convinced that my computer froze, and rebooted it, but finally
realized that it was just lagging. Is anyone else having the same issues
with other programs not responding, and does freedomscientific know about
this, and working on a fix for this bug?
