Hi Priscilla, When you go to your start menu, then arrow to New Office or word document, a dialog box will pop up with multiple tabs.
Not sure what version of Jaws you or your friend are running, but with my Jaws 7, I don't get as much accessibility as I would like with this dialog box, but suffice it to say, if you tab around, you'll eventually get to the tab list. arrow around until you hear other documents tab. Once you hear that, tab once to get to the list view of documents. You'll have to find out which version of Word your friend has, but in Microsoft Office 2003, you will have to tab until you get to a toolbar radio button that says large icons checked. Once there, just arrow down to list, then tab over to the list view of templates. In that list view, you'll have a choice between contemporary resume, elegant resume and professional resume. Press enter on the one you want, and Word will create the template. I can't readily remember if there is a resume wizard available for resumes, but if there is, the wizard will walk him through which design your friend prefers. Once the resume template pops-up, all your friend has to do is replace the text in the template with his own, then he has to make sure he does a save as, which is alt+F, then the letter A for the save as option. He'll also have to make sure he checks out which folder he is saving his document into, as Word will sometimes save the file in it's templates folder where he first opened the template in the first place. Not sure if this has been fixed or not, but a few keystrokes is a small price to pay for peace of mind. Hope this helps.
