If Expand Acronyms is by default off, which it is, then there must be good reasons for that choice. (The following applies to versions of JAWS past 6.0. -- I'm not sure about 6.0 itself. There is another, better, way to achieve what you're trying. Instead of going into the Configuration manager and making the change globally for all Web pages, with your browser opened you can change or reset additional verbosity settings in the Personal Settings dialogue (JAWSKey+shift+v). Amongst these settings which you arrow down to is the Expand Acronym checkbox. You'd toggle it on/off with the spacebar, as per usual.) Could you give an example of the beneficial effects you've observed from having made this change, and a page where it's noticeable?
