Hi, Marie's friend here. So guys, are you saying that Windows XP doesn't support fat12? Or if it does it has limitations? I'm asking this as I tried to use another friend of mine's USB floppy drive, and tried to load a magazine off one of the disks and Windows XP Home SP2 refused to read the disk and claims that it needs reformatting, but since this is a disk obtained from the RNIB I didn't go ahead and reformat. Hi Marie, This is a limitationo in fAT12 (the file system used in flopy disks). FAT12, unlike FAT16 and FAT32, does not allow creation of new folders on floppy disks. You best alternative is to rename the file itself that you are trying to copy.
